Crazy Info?

Add / remove programs window, lists programs and their size in Mb's. Something seems crazy on mine- e.g. -some show zero value (Dell Picture Studio - 00.00Mb), while others show huge values (Canon Utilities Zoom Browser - 4095.00Mb). Both are installed and running ok.
In Program Files - Properties - Dell PS is shown as 1.73Mb's and Canon UZB is shown as 83.2 Mb's.
What is wrong and how can I fix? Thanks,
Seamus

Hi Seamus,

I've never run into any references to this particular condition. MS's Add/Remove applet historically leaves much to be desired as far as the info it provides and is only as effective as the uninstall routine for any particular software is - since that is what the applet depends on.

Were these programs that you specifically mentioned installed by the OEM or by you? Is the problem limited to the programs you mentioned? Was it always like this?

What you might want to try is taking one of these programs and uninstalling/reinstalling - with reboot in between - to see if that resolves the situation.

Regards - Charles

Charles,
Dell software installed by Dell - Canon by myself. Uninstall and reinstall made no difference - however everything is working fine, it's just a minor annoyance. Thanks for your help.
Seamus.
