Any ideas as to why I can't keep a specific sound attached to the emptying of the Recycle Bin?

I set it but when I exit Control Panel\Sounds\System Events it reverts to the default Windows sound for the Recycle Bin. I even deleted the XP sound for that event and then there is NO sound at all. I even renamed my wav file to the XP description and that didn't work either.

    Thanks.

May be worth reparing the recycle bin - see here under R = Recycle bin. Scroll through the entries until you find the appropriate one.

I will check out your suggestions, but I feel that it is something with the sound event matter. The Recycle Bin functions just fine and all of the other sounds stay attached to the events that I select.

I guess you've never run into this particular quirk?

Thanks. On my my to check out your suggestions.
