Cannon FB 630U Scanner Installation

    I have downloaded the latest driver from canon for my fb 630u scanner, but when i try to install, i get the following messages. the first, the software is not signed, and when i continue, hardware update wizzard then posts the following message. The class installer has denied the request to install or upgrade this device. any ideas please.

    The fact that the driver is unsigned is of no significance - to obtain a digital signature the driver must be submitted to M$, along with $$ for checking. Apart from the $$ this takes time which most companies can't afford - they want the drivers out there. It is not at all unusual.

    As for the other problem no ideas at present - except you must be logged on with Admin rights to load software, drivers, etc.

    Thanks for the reply, but I managed to get the scanner working about 2 days after i logged the thread. I should have removed the thread or at least posted a thread to advise members not to reply. Sorry about that. Again , many thanks.
