The problem is not that i can't see the shutdown function it is
that it doesn't do anything when i click on it.

ie. I click on the start menu, then log off, or turn off, and then get my
little window with my options of log off, turn off or switch user. The only
one that does anything when i click on it is switch user. The others when i
click on them just do nothing.

I can eventually shut down the computer once i have switched user and gone back to the main screen.

    Please can anyone help??

I have the same problem. When more than one user is logged on, none of the three shutdown options work. I can usually switch users, but cannot log off or turn off.

Sometimes I get a message saying that another user is logged on and do I want to continue with log off. Even if I answer yes, I get no reaction. I usually have to press the reset button and reboot to turn the computer off.

Sorry not to have an answer to this problem, but would love to get one.

    Thanks!
