No connection except for Internet explorer

AMD 1000 Cable 256mb

I can not connect to the Internet but with IE. No P2P or Microsoft
updates or help that need to connect. Done all the obvious things.
I think Ihad this before!!!

I got it working. I had Zone Alarm running and shut it down via
"msconfig / startup. You have to run ZA and then shut down not
to have this problem.

I have had several versions of ZoneAlarm (& Pro) and have not had the problem you describe.

Proper configuration of ZA should eliminate the problem.
