Resolved XP Re-Install

I am about to re-install Windows XP. I have backed up my C: Drive to an external drive. Will I be able to restore individual Program Files from my back-up source. My reason for this question is I am trying to avoid having to re-install all my Programs individually by restoring them from the back-up source. Thanks for any advise and solutions in advance.

Hi JimB666. Unless you are restoring your computer from a backup image, you will need to reinstall all of your programs. You cannot just copy and paste the folders that have your program files in them from one computer to another.

Marking a thread as 'Resolved'
