I have several folders containing photos. All of them are set to view icons when opened. They all display icons when directly opened. When My Documents/My Pictures is accessed to select a file to attach, the files are displayed as icons. All other folders display the files in a list. I can change the display to icons each time. How do I get Windows to remember to display icons?

I can indeed set up all of my picture folders to show icons as I want. However, when the contents of these folders is viewed in the Attach File(s) mode, only a file list is shown. I don't see any way to view properties of this mode.
I moved the photo folders so they are sub folders in the My Pictures folder and the attach mode works fine. I no longer need the original request answered.
