Until recently we could only get dial-up at our location. Now we have wireless broadband but I can't get Outlook Express 6 to work with it on my XP laptop. I have tried all the recommended solutions (changed settings to never dial a connection, also did same individually for all accounts, even deleted dial-up completely), but OE keeps popping up the dial-up window regardless. Does anyone know another solution for this?

Open Outlook Express and go to Tools > Accounts

Highlight your email account and click the Properties button

    On the Connection tab, check

"Always connect to this account using Local Area Network "

Thanks very much. I thought I had already done that but when I went back and checked, it was still wrong. Now it is working as it should.
