Resolved SM Bus Controller - device?

I have a Compaq Presario R3000 laptop that i re-installed XP on and
got all the drivers installed except 2.

Modem - I'm not worried about this one.
SM Bus Controller - No driver installed.

Have looked all over the net including HP and Compaq sites but no where
is there a mention of a driver for the SM Bus.

System is working fine but i would like to get rid of the yellow question
mark in the device manager.

any suggestions?

Thanks for the lead.
While that procedure didnt resolve the problem it did trigger some leads.

WinXp looks at this (SMBus) as a device therefore it must have a device driver.

The driver i finally found is really a "Nul" driver that satisfied XP and
actually removed it from the CP. This being the case - problem solved.
