    HELP

Maybe someone can help me out here.

I have used movie maker in the past to make wmv/avi files and it has worked. Today after 2 hrs of editing and saving as a project, I went to convert the files to the final format.

I got a error telling me to check to make sure the files are present, make sure I have enough HD space, make sure the output folder is present. File cannot be saved.

The project is 53gb and I do have enough hard drive space, the output file is good.

I tried several different ways to save it. I can open the file as a project and it will play perfect. The file is 6 min long and nothing fancy.

I searched the microsoft forum for this error and several people have had it but no one has a fix.

I went to microsoft and downloaded the files and installed over the old movie maker.

After launching movie maker I still get the same error.

I then tried a new project using 1 min of the files. Tried to save to disk after 50% of the file was saved the error popped up again.

Any one know what is going on:confused:

I have run across the same error message with files less than that size. Rather than junk your entire project, maybe Any Video Converter could help you. It has the ability to convert and merge files together.

It seems that this message is one of those that pops up but no one knows how to fix it.

I have googled it and found several people have had the same issues but so far no one can pin it down.

I am going to try a different video editing software to get my project done.

    Thanks for your reply.

Ok, I figured out the error msg. I down loaded ANY VIDEO CONVERTER and redid my converting the files from MOV to AVI. My first pass with another converting software was from MOV to WMV.

After recreating the video using Movie Maker the file did save and I did not get the error msg. It seems that either I had a corrupted converted file or Movie Maker does not like WMV files.

Any way that is done for now.

Now I am trying to convert the file for a dvd file that will play on any dvd player.

I did try converting using Nero Express but that did work (I really dont care for Nero products they never seem to work for me).

Any one know of a down lod for converting AVI file to DVD?

Another forum suggested I try DVD FLICK for my converting. After downloading it and trying it, it work first time. I can easily convert AVI, WMV files to DVD format.
