Windows Vista Blue screen of death in Vista

    I got the blue screen this morning and after some investigation found that the power selection level was at 'High" instead of 'Balanced' which is the default setting. I used Tune-UP utilities and solved the problem. I don't understand how this could have changed from the default since I didn't even know where it was to change it.
    I recently had had enough of the User Account setting that ask permission for everything and turned it off-surely, the two can't be related, or could they be.

    Some BSOD errors are flukes and do not need to be addressed. Only way to tell is if the error doesn't happen on a regular basis...

    I guess maybe if you still have the STOP error code and links to the solution you think you found - someone might maybe possibly be able to shead some light.
