Hello and a pre-emptive thank you to whom ever takes the time to respond to my question
I have a new laptop which came with Windows Vista. I recently aquired DSL which was installed for me, the tech attached his laptop and it worked fine. When I tried to attach the ethernet cable to my laptop it stated that there was no network detected.
I've attempted to install the CD with the drivers on it that came with Northewestel (my provider.) This has not helped as it still says no internet connectivity - I don't understand, am I doing something wrong???
- Perplexed in Northwest Territories.

Something like this happened to me but on my desktop. I had to go out and buy an ethernet card because the one that came with the computer was defective.
I do not know if this is YOUR problem, but worth checking the ethernet card.
