   I have an HP pavilion 9740 notebook. I connected it to my HDTV with an HDMI cord. The only sound comes from the laptop. No sound from the TV. The picture is good. Can anyone help?

   Found my answer. Opened Realtek HD audio manager. Selected digital output and made it the default. SOUND!
