Interesting. Seems like a great program. I use the disk and registry defrag programs from Auslogics though. They also do a great job at keeping computers optimized and they are both free as well.

When I used to run vista home premium on the lappy, I had Diskeeper 2008 Pro and later 2009 pro on it. Was brilliant in the way it defragged automatically and kept the drives clean. Had the shadow copy service compatible defrag option too, which would minimize loss of restore points.

These days, I am an all-XP pro user...and will be, until Win 7 launches.

Have a look at davehc's post.

There is no need for a 3rd party defragger in Vista (other then you want to spend some $$$ for nothing :D )

Like I said further down in that thread:

I read an artical recently in a national trade publication that compared four 3rd party defrag programs against the imbedded apps in both Vista and XP.Interestingly enough, none showed a marked improvement over the OEM ones, and one or two actually hindered performance in the test results.
