Vista Screensavers Troubleshoot

From a previous thread on Vista Screensavers, I found I am not alone in getting them to activate. Here is what I found. The Task Manager/Processes tab shows anything that your PC is doing while supposedly "idle". It appears that chosen screensavers will only activate if all values in the CPU column remain at zero. My HP Pavilion has 3 programs that are constantly posting single digit values every 30 seconds. One is my Norton AV program that is constantly checking for intrusions. The next is my Sidebar settings which have a running clock and weather window and the third is dwm.exe which is a Desktop Window Mgr.
These are all settings that I would rather have running when idle so the only remaining option is to start a screensaver manually from The Control Panel using the preview button. Automatic screensaver activation is nice but so is constant intrusion protection. Most of today's new monitors dont need screensaver applications so my options will remain manual activation or none at all. Hope this helped any other users wondering why this application may not work on their systems.
