    Vista 64bit, sp1

The time has never shown on the taskbar, (even after a full
    restore).

A search here found various things about time settings (Mil
vs Civ, settings, etc) but nothing about the time not showing at all.

There are no gadgits on-screen and thats OK but need to see
the time of day in the taskbar.

I'm using the classic XP start button and classic desktop.

    Any ideas?

    thanks,
    savagcl

    PS: I'm getting there.

    try this as follow:

    start--->run---> put into "regedit "

    find the :
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Soft-ware\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

change the HideClock value as “0”
then i think it will work.
    -----------------------------------------------------
PS: in my computer and my friends' i can find the "hideclock" cause the time is in the taskbar, i think
    you can try

savagcl - be Bold - be Brave - be Adventurous and click on something:cool: That's the only way you'll ever learn:p

Right click on the taskbar->Properties->Notification Area->CLOCK

Right-click the Taskbar, select the Notification Area tab & make sure there's a check in Clock.
