My laptop is loaded with vista. When I switch on I get the message on the screen that says: WINDOWS IS RESUMING but nothing happens. Can someone tell me how to rectify this as I am unable to use this laptop:confused:

Try "hard booting" your system while it is "hung ". With that I mean press (and keep pressing) the power button. Normally this causes a laptop to reboot.

When it reboots, it should offer you to delete the hibernation data (forgot what the exact words are, but it should be easy to know). Choose to let windows delete this data & the system should boot up successfully.
