My System

Getting Office updates and I no longer have office

I have a message that Updates are available: Security Update for 2007 Microsoft Office System. There are three of them. I no longer have Office 2007. I uninstalled it after the trial period - just couldn't afford the price (maybe some day).

Anyone have any idea why i am still getting updates? There are no office directories on my harddrive anymore.

Mitch

I suspect your Windows registry still has remnants of Office 2007 in it. This may help:
How to uninstall the 2007 Office system if you cannot uninstall it by using the "Add or Remove Programs" feature

My System

thanks for the link, however I already got it taken care of by stopping WMI, deleting the repository, and restarting WMI. All is well now.

thanks again
