Windows Vista problem installing windows vista [Dual boot with XP]

    i tried to install vista ultimate sp1 after installing xp pro sp3 (dual boot ) but vista made the first restart then gets me screen with installing windows and no thing happens mouse & keyboard are working but no activety from dvd or hdd i'm disconneting all hdd but only my wd 500 working i'm not using raid

    how to complete the installation
    hdd 500 is new and formated then install xp and vista not working i'm booting from dvd i tried other copies for vista and the the same problem

    the 500 hd is C: 20g D: 30g E: 200g F: 200G
    i installed xp on C: vista on D:

    in my problem it stops at Figure I in your article and give the vista green background and no thing happens
