This will maybe seem like a very stupid question but what is NVIDIA which I have just discovered on my system? It appears in my start up list when I type in msconfig and when I went to the control panel I saw that it was not enabled so I enabled it with standard settings. Now I'm totally unsure if I have done the right thing! I'm sure that you folk will put me right! Thanks again in advance

nVidia - suppliers of motherboard chips and graphics chips. It sounds like you have an nVidia based graphics card and you probably enabled a tray icon or another graphics related applet from nVidia such as nVidia Control Panel or nVidia Desktop Manager. - harmless, but may use unnecessary RAM. :)

I have guests arriving shortly, but it would help if you would expand the startup item and command line columns and re-image - otherwise I am guessing :)

Be back with you when my guests leave.

    A Yorkshire Lass a pest - never :D

The first two must run, the third .....

NVIDIA CORPORATION Media centre Library 32\nvMcTray Nvtaskbar.init

is not essential - puts an icon in the Notification area for the nVidia Media centre Library - whatever that is :)
