This morning I was scanning a document and wanted to convert it to OCR so that I could edit text. Well, the OCR function was nowhere to be found so I went to Lexmark driver downloads and upgraded thinking I would now be able to OCR a document. …and that’s when (I assume) I ran into a wall. As it is now my computer does not recognize my printer at all. I get the following messages:
Local print spooler service is not running. Restart spooler or machine.
Windows could not start the Print Spooler service on local computer. Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start.
Rescue server properties cannot be viewed. The local print spooler service is not running.
Can’t find shortcut - lxbkpswx.exe
I have no idea what is going on. I scanned my computer with Symantec and Adware, and found nothing. I have also gone to Microsoft Help sites and followed some of their suggestions but to no avail. Can you help me.
