Customize System Restore intervals

I did a registry tweak to change automatic restore points to every two days
instead of every 24 hours but it didn't work. Anyone know what could be wrong?

Didn't know you could do that.
What steps did you take?

To change the interval between system restore points, go to Start > Run, type regedit, press Enter and navigate to registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\SystemRestor e.

In the right pane, RPGlobalInterval is set to 86400 (seconds) which represents 24 hours. Right-click > Modify it accordingly.

It's the same key as per XP.

My System

I'm not sure tht key works in Vista. On MSDN it says:

Quote:
Windows Vista: Receives a value from the task scheduler for System Restore. Zero if the task is disabled.
So use Task Scheduler to change it.
