I have a brand new HP Pavillion Media Center m7780n TV PC with Intel Core Duo processor e6400, 2048MB PC2-4200 DDR2 SDRAM memory, 500 GB, 7200 RPM Serial ATM hard drive, and NVIDAI GeForce 7600 GT graphics card with TV-out, and Dual DVI capabilities. Its O/S is Vista. With this PC it came with Roxio Creater Basic v9 with muvee autoProducer.

I have been having some issues with another NLE software, so I rendered it as an AVI file, and then wanted to use this program to create a DVD with interactive menus, and I got this error message...

    "muvee autoProducer has stopped working...
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. ":(

What could be causing this error in Windows Vista and does anyone have a solution?

Thanks for any help you can give.

    Big Ed

    Patience, patience, patience ..... :)

It's only a few hours since you posted your problem - which I am sure is not very common. Please remember that we are all volunteers here, scattered around the world with time differences to take into account.

Check the Windows logs in your Event Viewer for further info. Click on the Start ball and type "eventvwr.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter.

Let us know any errors that you may find. I work in a store that sells this model and we haven't seen this error before.

Otherwise I'd suggest uninstalling the app, then reinstalling it if you can find it on the HP website.
