Windows Vista Issues with Sharing + Read Only Settings

I shared my C:/Documents/awork in Vista from an OS on another drive that was running Win 7. The box has 2 hard drives. Then when I logged back into Vista, where I am now, all of a sudden all the files and directories became Read Only. I did a mass change of the root directory and that cured most of the problem, But occasionally I hit a directory that is still stuck on read only. I have to copy the whole directory, delete the original then rename the copy
