    I am having 1 to 4 BSOD a day, seems like after the 1st one if I boot in safe mode and then shut down and rebood normally it seems to be ok.
    I copied the iso for sdk and burned to disk but unable to access any files on CD.
    Loaded from net to program file and sdk cannot find a .cab file. It's in one of the folders but sdk cannot find it? Have not had time to research it. I checked the box to not overwrite MEMORY.DMP files but I see it still overwrites them. I'm short on time to do anything but keep going as is. I will check out and when I get caught up I'll get back.
    THANK YOU guys for all the help so far, see u soon. I Hope.

    An iso file is an image file - simply burning it to CD/DVD will not render it operable. In your burning software you need to find the option to 'burn image' or words to that effect. In Nero Burning ROM it is under Recorder > Burn Image. That will produce a disk containing all the individual files which were imaged to an iso.

    I have no idea why the SDK will not install satisfactorily from the web given that you followed all the instructions. Try burning the iso image file to disk and go from there.

    Hi Pete C,
    I did uncheck the box but it still overwrites the MEM.DMP files, also it does not attempt a dump file even though it says it does. I've had at least 15 bsod and only 3 MEM.DMP files. I renamed .DMP to .001 etc. The box has been unchecked since I changed to kernal dump.
    Is there a diagnostic that will read the power supply voltages? without opening the box. The reason I ask I run 3 powerstrips, when I shut down the computers (2) and printers, I kill all power to usb drives and NAS and lights. Last couple of days when i turn the power on in the A.M. which energizes all equipment it now takes about 4 minutes before main computer (d4996t) will boot. None of the LED's on the front paneI indicate power, I have bypassed the power strips and still have the problem. All power connection were removed and reconnected to make sure of proper connecion. Only 1 computer is having this problem. Since the power supply is all transistorized, I have never had a transistor that was slow, they usually either work or they don't. By the way I ran chkdsk and NO problems, I used the F switch but no indication of any problems. I'll keep trying and keep you posted.

    Hi SpyDr;
    I have run 'sfc' several times in the past as late as 2 weeks ago. NO indications of a problem.
    When I ran it a day ago It said something about a corrupt file but I could not read all of it before it dissapeared. Said it would update on reboot and create 'CBS.Log' 17mb long. Should I send it?
    I ran memchk this morning and the os froze at 1st pass 92%, I waited 40 min to make sure it was locked up. No response to ESC had to reboot to get started again. Oh well, another day in paradise!
    Thanks for the help. I will try memchk again later today or in the morning and keep you posted.

    How long did the memtest run? (Let it run overnight).

    --

    If it passes the memory diagnostics, (no errors whatsoever), run the appropiate Hard Drive manufacture's diagnostics next:Let us know the results of both tests ...

    Hi SpyDoc;
    The Mem test completed and returned NO problems found
    The Seagate test on my Seagate HDD ran from 4 pm still running at 9:30 pm at 5:00 am it had completed, All it said was "Passed ".
    I still have the feeling it could be a bad driver. When I get some time I will run SDK on the Memory.DMP files and post it. May take me couple of days.
    Ralph
