Some time ago I was using some "tweaking" tool, the name of which escapes me.

It had a "tool" which removed the arrows from my "Shortcut Icons ". I liked the effect.

Recently, my system has been repaired, (successfully), and my arrows have come back.

Anyway, couldn't remember how I had removed them before, so "Googled" and found regedit tricks for Win 7 and Win 8, neither of which worked on my Vista system.

Can anyone tell me which "tweaker" I probably used, (my memory is shocking), or tell me if there is a regedit tweak in Vista that will do the trick ?

    As always, thanks in anticipation.

    Regards,

    Graham

    Many thanks chaps.

UWT of course. Silly thing is I actually already had it, but because it doesn't install in the ordinary way--- you just run the exe file from it's download location--- I didn't find it.

Old age is a curse !!

    Regards,

    Graham

PS: I now have a UWT shortcut on my Desktop and it is arrowless. I'll try not to forget that it is a shortcut.
