A couple years ago you really helped me with that not curable virut (yeah, I had to reinstal...). Therefore I want to ask for another favour:eek: I have checked the forum, but I could't find or I missed the info that I'm concerned with. Please, don't be harsh if this was already posted before and you will have to redirect me:D

The problem is Windows Vista with its annoying blue screen. This is what I get:

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent demage to your computer.
If this is the first time (at leat 4th already) you‘ve seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these:
Check to be sure you have adequate disk space (I have 30GB left). If a driver is identified in the stop message, dissable the driver or check for updates. Try changing video adapters.
Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.
    Technical information:
    *** STOP: 0x000000 8E (0xC0000005, 0x8361220B, 0xB81CBBEC, 0x00000000)

...And then it collects data for crash dump.

When I restart, windows gives me this:

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.768.3
    Locale ID: 1063

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: 1000008e
    BCP1: C0000005
    BCP2: 8361220B
    BCP3: B81CBBEC
    BCP4: 00000000
    OS Version: 6_0_6002
    Service Pack: 2_0
    Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:
    C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini021112-01.dmp
    C:\Users\Kristina\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-65036-0.sysdata.xml
    C:\Users\Kristina\AppData\Local\Temp\WERD6BE.tmp.version.txt

But there is no button saying "˜check for solution now’ so I don’t know what to do next:(

    My PC details:

THE QUESTION IS: should I reinstal Vista again (yeah, I know I should:eek:)? Or is there hidding a more serious probem that I can't solve by reinstaling?

Thank you for your time in advance:D

Please go to User CP near the top left and post your PC Specs. Then be sure to save them.
Try running Error Checking (CHKDSK), including checking for faults (bad sectors) and see if that cures your problem.

By the way, I ran CHKDSK, and there were zeroes near bad sectors, but after checking there were ''Windows made correctons'' mentioned near computer free memory space (2xcomputer noob:D). But before that I stumbled upon ''Performance Information and Tools,'' and there was some kind of incompatability (something with Windows Aero) that I had to correct by clicking on link. It did correction and it raised Windows Experience Index base score. So, maybe, this was the problem and I should mark the thread as solved?

And this is what I get: http://i41.tinypic.com/5mh72w.jpg
Somehow, I can't download that debugging tool. Strange:confused:

P.S.: did many times, the same happens. I counted already 12 minidumps in a folder:(

    Hi

you should try to start your system on minimum hardware's & Check that you have all Updated drivers & BIOS in your system

If you have more than one RAM Start your system with one single RAM and perform a check if you get a blue screen again try with another RAM

Blue screen are usually caused by Hardware failure so you need to start your system on minimum hardware

    Regards,
    Mosin

See if you can get any clues from the install log (press the View Log button).

Did you uncheck all options except "Debugging Tools for Windows" as instructed?

    Hi there,
I'm so appreciating that you are still trying to help me...the truth is my laptop ''had died'' two weeks ago. How it went: black screen plus three beeps (one long, two short) and my local repair service for Samsung laptops told me that it was due to that unlucky Samsung NVDIA card. The service soldered my video chip, but said it will not keep for long...
However, I foolishly thought those blue screens were caused by video chip...but yesterday the screen appeared again...twice:(
Before my laptop got out of order, I tried to fix with your provided info in ''Fix Problem Installing Windows SDK for Windows 7,'' however I still couldn't download. Then I had to fix my laptop and it took some time, but as I still have those blue screens, I'll try to redo according to your last advice and report how it went.:)
    Thanks again:)

Tried again the tips from ''Fix Problem Installing Windows SDK for Windows 7'', and still can't download those debugging tools for windows (vista). Now I have a wild conspiracy it could be some virus... However, according to SpywareDr I should give up and mark this thread as d00med:eek: (and probably throw Samsung on the railroad)

Yes, it is pointless trying to solve a hardware issue by looking at the software. The 'puter is dead, time to bury it!
