Active Directory integration with zimbra

    Hello all,
    Please can anyone tell me how to integrate windows 2003 Active Directory with zimbra mail server.

    And how to change mx records in DNS?

    Hi shill,

    I have no idea, but it looks like the Zimbra Administration Guide talks about it in detail; it even has pictures.

    Best practice dictates you create a user with limited privileges for Zimbra to use to query your AD (i.e. not Administrator or a domain admin)

    Also, check out a nice writeup about MX records in a Microsoft environment here.

    I'm not an expert but I think Internet facing DNS should be the business of your ISP, as most environments would have their mail and AD servers behind a firewall with NAT. If this is the case, get your email working and a port exposed on your firewall, then talk to your ISP about your email domain's MX listing.

    Hey Shill123,
    Hope i am not to late for this post, i actually have a small zimbra installation and configuration project that i want to do but in linux. I surely would love to try it in windows. I will work on it then give you my views, if still interested.
