Arrow Mandatory Profiles & Folder Redirection

Hi All,
I am running Windows Server 2003 as a DC, DHCP, DNS etc etc.

The first problem:
I have set up folder redirection by creating a new GPO and linking it to an OU. I have set up start menu redirection and desktop redirection. The start menu redirects fine - it works perfectly. The desktop however, fails to redirect. The user has read permission to the redirected desktop location, and I can browse to the location on the client computer. I am confused as to why the start menu would redirect but the desktop wouldn't (they are both stored in the same location)

The second problem:
I have to set up mandatory profiles for about 30 users. What I do is I log in as a user without any profile path, the profile creates, then I copy it to the server. I then rename NTUSER.DAT to NTUSER.MAN. I point active directory to the profile path on the server, and then log in using that user. It works fine. Then I try to copy the profile folder on the server and point another user to the copied profile. When I go to login using that user, the settings are all weird and my login script doesn't run. I am thinking this may have something to do with the NTUSER.MAN file having username information stored in it, so the copied profile is not running properly because a different username is in NTUSER.MAN.

I need help with the above issues, expecially the second one, because I don't want to have to log in as 30 individual users and copy their profiles to the server.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Michael
