    Hi,
I have a user's Pc where a program that i've installed on his local Pc (not on the server) won't run correctly unless i give the user 'administrator' rights. Which I don't want to. if i do it kills the whole security thinking.

HOW can I give a specific program folder on a local Pc 'administrator' rights for that user.

    Thanks.
    Bill

You cannot. You can give a user "Full Control" or even Ownership of the folder via the permissions tab in the folder properties.

I doubt that it is the program folder that is the problem. I expect it is permissions to the part of the registry that the program is using that is the problem.

Your best bet is to talk to the support desk for the software you are using.
