    Hi all,

i've got a problem with an Windows 2003 Server. Sometimes the cluster services did not start automatically while an logon error occurs. After a interactive logon the server can be started manually and it's working fine.

Sometime i receive an error from the netlogon service: "Error 5719 There are currently no logon server available to service the logon request "
So i enabled the debugging option of the netlogon service.
The NETLOGON Debuging log reports the following lines:

    ....

in my opinion there is maybe a problem with the dns client service or the network interface.
So here is my question: Is there any posibility to generate a debug log from the dns client service?

    greetings Andy L

Is your DNS local or at your ISP?

    One affected server or several?

Wired/wireless network or some sort of VPN connection?

    2003 clustering services can be
    - cluster service
    - load balancing
    - both

If you are running 'cluster service' with some number of clustered servers, then your original problem statement is leavning me a little confused. Could you explain more about what is happening.

The DNS environment is basded on a BIND infrastrucutre. But i don't think the problem is at the dns server, because we have many, many server running without this problem :(

There is only one Windows 2003 Cluster Server (MS Cluster Service) affected.
The Server has 2 x 100MBit/s interfaces and one 1GB/s interface. But the Microsoft Client und Server are only bind to one 100MBit/s interface. (The 1GB interface is connected to the Backup infrastructure, and the second 100MBit/s interface is connected to a managment network)
