[Upgrading Office Communicator Server 2005 to Lync Server 2010]

    Hi,

    My company is in the process of upgrading from Office Communicator Server 2005 to what is now known as Lync Server 2010.

    As far as I know the process is not straight forward. I've been told that I need to first upgrade from 2005 to 2007, and then to 2010.

    Is this true? Also, is there a way to migrate settings/contact information from the 2005 version to 2010?
