Nagging message at bootup

I installed a Soundblaster Audio PCI 128 sound card the other day in my garage PC running 98SE. To get the drivers I had to install an installation program which adds a program called Waveset manager in the system tray.

Whenever I boot the computer as soon as the wallpaper appears, I get this nagging message something to the effect, "The MIDI playset drivers could not be loaded so MIDI has been disabled". It's more of an acknowlegement message than an error message.

First of all I cant remember what MIDI stands for, what it does or why I need it.

I tried going into the Waveset manager under the MIDI settings and deselected them and selected "default" whatever that does. I still get the message at bootup.

Otherwise the sound card works fine and so does streaming media. Is there anyway to get rid of this message that pops up?

My System

Hi jseabolt,

Try looking in msconfig and see if anything relating to your sound card is there.

It seems your sound drivers are not completely installed, the following link has the drivers for that card from Creative.
