Unhappy removing Realdownload

Hello folks,..I'm currently running 98SE. Years ago I'd downloaded Realdownload. I got kind of tired with it and uninstalled it. Now I can't get the original Windows download dialog box to come up when I download something.
Some sites have a progress display, but for the ones that don't I can't see any download progress. I've searched through the threads and all the help in Helpwithwindows (great help), but haven't found anything. I probably can install another download program, but I guess I'm stubborn . Anyway If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd greatly appreciate it.

Have you tried the Internet Explorer Repair Tool. One way to get to it, is Add\Remove Programs, then choose Internet Explorer in the list. There will be an option for the Repair in the window that opens up.
