Teac cd-w540e cd writer drivers

I am looking for the latest drivers for the Teac cd-w540e cd writer for win98SE. I've searched all the TEAC sites and could only find a win95 driver.

I'm trying to update the drivers because when I try to run some install programs on the cd writer, windows gives execution errors for some but not others. YET if I take the same CD and put it in another cd writer on the LAN the program runs fine from the other writer. Just won’t run on the Teac that is locally connected to the PC. Anyone know where new drivers may be or why I get these errors on certain executables?

One of the errors is:
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.

LAUNCHER executed an invalid instruction in
module LAUNCHER.EXE at 0177:004179d8.
