If I succeed to full boot up , a new page is slow slow,or somtimes lockes up.

I have;run scan disk, deleted all temorary files,run norton utilitys,un checked
all unnecessary start up items from the start up page, I have pulled my hair.
All to no avail, can you help? pls. also I have uninstalled all hard ware

trying--If your last Defrag was recent and went to completion, running Defrag in SafeMode really is not necessary. But it cannot hurt.
Are you also running ScanDisk?
Have you cleaned out your Temporary Internet Files?
If you can get to either Start|Run|type MSCONFIG|OK|Startup tab or Control+Alt+Delete right after a boot, how many programs are showing as checked (in MSCONFIG/Startup) or Running (in End Task)? If more than five or six, tell us what they are. Or you can go here to determine if you really want all those programs running.

trying--Well, you certainly have a lot of programs starting that do not need to be started at boot. (You can always start them when you want to use them.)
You should use that sysinfo.org site I gave you so you can learn to use it in the future. And also because I have not run Win98 for some time so forget the things that you really (and only) need to start on boot.
From memory,
load power profile (perhaps two instances), Systray, ScanReg, your Antivirus, and your Firewall are all that are needed.

Start with you can do first:

If your installation of Win98 has been up for quite a while, it *may* have some corrupt sound files.

Control Panel> Sounds

Select these five items, in turn, and set there sound to None. Save the profile as something like "quiet windows" and you'll remove this problem possibility from your list.

1. Windows startup
2. User logon
3. User logoff
4. Windows shutdown
5. Recycle Bin

Yes, if the Recycle Bin 'scrunch' wave file gets corrupt, Win98 will get wonky.

Next, go through your installed programs and turn off their autostart feature.

For example, Real Tray is not a required startup program, but your best way to remove it from the Startup cycle is in the Preferences for Real Player. Once you're sure it doesn't startup on boot, you can permanently remove the Startup item using Spybot S&D or MS Antispyware Beta.

Of your list,
+ marks those that should have their own preference setting to disable the startup, or at least the tray icon and its threaded process;
! marks the ones that you should not or cannot remove;
& marks those that might relate to antivirus and # connectivity
(I'm only guessing, so do the lookups) which would need to start running when Windows does;
* marks those that you could optionally leave out of the startup cycle;
? marks those you will need to dig a little deeper to check.

+ quick time task (QT Settings: Advanced tab, Tray Icon)
+ open office org 1.0.2
+ real tray
+ CXMON (Hp camera)

! HPHmon 03
! still image monitor
! load power profile
! HXD.EXE
! scan registry
! load power profile
! system tray
! load qm
! EM_EXE (Logitech mouse driver??)

& nprotect
& nprotect

# compuserve 2000 tray icon
# aol dialer
# isdbdc (Compaq dial-up networking)

* EACLEAN (Compaq easy access keyboard)
* CPQEASYACC (Compaq easy access keyboard - only needed if you use the extra keys)
* cpqns (Compaq net - probably part of branding - safe to uncheck, especially if your warranty is expired)
* country selection (Compaq - if your modem is setup and working, you don't need this)

* msdtc (MS distributed transaction coordinator
* inetinfo.exe (Are you running IIS Server?)
* precision time (is exact time that important?)

? incred mail
? pcd real time
? my software intercom
? star downloader (just the name implies you do not need it)
? HRDJ task bar utility
? share to web names page daemon
