The install notes on Corel WP12 recommend:
"To avoid file and memory conflicts, close all running programs and delete the contents of your system's TEMP folders. Under Windows 98SE [C:\<Windows>\Temp]"
There are many records there, 77 folders and 495 files total. It appears to contain vital data on many programs. Will this action effect other programs? Or is this a recommendation to delete the *.tmp files in the folder?
I am getting some administrator error messages when trying to save in *.doc format and links to my database program no longer work, as they did in Corel WP8. (Could be a macro problem also.)

Hi Goaglen, Never heard of so many files in Windows.temp before.
I doubt you will lose anything "vital" as you mention, if you just delete
all the contents. If you want to play extra safe, make a new Folder
somewhere and copy the contents of Windows.temp to it.
Then delete the files/folders in Windows.temp
Wait a while - a month or so - and if no problems - delete the folder you
created.
There is nothing vital in the Temp folder. (99.99% of thye time)
From MS:
"Temporary Files - Programs sometimes store temporary information in a Temp folder. Before a program quits, it usually deletes this information. You can safely delete temporary files that have not been modified in over a week." http://support.microsoft.com/default...NoWebContent=1
