How do you transfer windows ME from one drive to another? And can you have 2 operating systems even AFTER the transfer?
I am fixing my teacher's computer. Its an old machine, PII with 266 MHz processor, 64 MB ram and 6 gb hard drive. I added 128mb more ram, and a new 20 gb hard drive.
The problem is, the motherboard is really old, and it only supports one hard drive. So I have to transfer everything from the old hard drive to the new one.
I have two partitions on the new hd, I have windows 98 installed on one, and all the files from the old hard disk on the other drive.
The problem is, my teacher does not want to lose all the programs that he has installed on ME, and I put NO when windows 98 installation asked if I want to overwite the Windows ME files (I dont know how it detected it, it was on the secondary drive, but autoexe file was in there)
Now, I want have windows 98 as the main windows on the main drive, and also want Windows ME located in the other drive (that was copied from the old hard disk) to work, so I can have 2 OS.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
