problem deleting file in Mmy documents"

I have a file in the "my documents" folder that I am having trouble deleting. I have tried to delete, move, and change the file name, but always get the message "file name too long, or invalid". Any help would be greatly appreciated!

And if that fails, boot to a dos prompt and manually delete it from there. Type "cd\mydocu~1" (dos doesn't like spaces, so uses abberviations), then type " del <filename>" where filename is the name of the file you want to delete. If the name is longer than 8 characters, or has a space, enter the first 6 characters, or all the characters before the first space (whichever is less) followed by ~1, and then the extension (.doc, . xls, whatever)
