My new machine's mother board fried so i pulled my older machine out till the new one get back from the shop and decide to play all the emulators I have on it. Plugs in a old USB cheap game pad I had but it wasn't reconized in the gaming options/game controller area. Even with the right controler selected.
Didn't care much, always had problems with it and so Bought a new AxisPad today, followed the instructions and same thing. Windows reconized it as far as it being pluged into the machine but nothing in the game controllers menu. I tried my Sidewinder Precesion pro 2 I have, same thing. Machine pops with the installing windows after their usb plug is in but nothing shows up in the game controller menu. I've tried everything I could think of includying getting new Drivers for the Sidewinder and same thing. Found drivers that were posted by others in other forums said to worked with AxisPads and no go.
I've checked checked the Sound, video, game controllers branch in my device drivers and it's got HID - Compliant game controllers list and says their working.
I'm stumped. I know both the older pad and the sidewinder worked before I put this machine away when I got my new machines. I know all three work with the laptop and desktop upstairs because I checked them all after having problems.
Only thing I noticed is with the new pad in if I removed it from the usb port while in the game options soemthing shows breifly in the game controller menu breif. Lookings like the proper name for the pad.
