Question My computer still freezes at times

My computer still freezes at times.
I have done much that has greatly improved my computers performance & stopped frequent freeze from advice from BBS. The things that were done to it stopped the freeze every time I would use Windows Media Player I would have to turn computer off when it would freeze. It would not let me close program by Ctrl – shift + Delete. Now I still have an occasional freeze but will let me close program by Ctrl – shift + Delete. It will say Explorer not responding. I am using free version of Zone Alarm I have heard that sometimes this would cause freeze. I don’t know if that is fact. I would appreciate any advice on this.

Use Kerio Personal Firewall instead. It does the same great job as ZA without taking over your system. Also if you haven't done so, get Spybot Search and Destroy and Adaware and scan for spyware on your computer. Spyware can be every bit as bad as a virus for messing up your machine. Don't allow too many programs to run at Windows startup, this drains memory and resources. Also make sure to defrag your hard drive once a month.

Computer Freez

shadowhawk,

Thank You for the info.
I got Spybot & AdAware they found 176 cases of spyware tracking cookies ET.
The average computer has a lot of these & like I was are not even aware.
