Continious BSOD`s

A friend of mine is having major problems with his WinME

Basically when ever he tries to run 2 different windows of IE (IE6) it crashes and either freezes or BSOD`s making him reboot.

It`s so regular that he also keeps getting chucked out of MSN messenger (version 6 (latest version)(33 times in 2 hours)and unstandably he`s getting a tad annoyed with it.

I`ve told him to try scanreg, scandisk, defrag, but they`ve come to no avail.

He also looses his internet connection on a regular basis too and hes in UK ADSL.

Any idea`s?

Did this problem occur before installation of IE 6.0??

If not remove 6.0 and revert back to last version installed and see if the problem goes away. To uninstall I.E 6.0 see the following:

Suggest for a 1st thing to do.

UPGRADE to a better OS.

Win98 SE.
