windows 8 screen saver has never worked

I don't' like windows 8 Had I know this was what they were sending me I would have said no way.
I have had several things not working some crazy stuff it does and I didn't change anything.

For starters My screen saver has NEVER worked and I do know how to do this but if I'm away to long I guess it goes to sleep the only way to wake it up is hold down the power button for a second then the start screen to log in will pop up. At times nothing I do will work an I have to do a hard shut down.

I'm going to start off with the problems from here and work myself up to the harder ones.
I have to post in correct section and I hope this ones okay.

I think it would be better to post this in the Windows 8 forum, quickcutters.

 

Hi quickcutters, Right click on clear space on Desktop > Personalize > Screen saver (lower right corner) > Windows shows where you can select what to do and set speed for display or time > Apply > Close. Neil.

Thank very much Neal I would have never thought about something like that. I kept going back to the set up your screen saver so I know I did everything right but my new laptop did do his job LOL..
I'M GOING TO GO TRY IT OUT..
