In January, Surface with Windows 8 Pro will be available in two versions and pricing will start at $899:

    · 64GB standalone version at $899

    · 128GB standalone version at $999

Both versions will both include a Surface pen with Palm Block technology and include the ability to use a Touch Cover or Type Cover (sold separately).

Nah... I thought so at first, but have a look at comparable ultra-books:

    • Toutchscreen
    • 4 GB RAM
    • < 14 "

    There's only one with a 128GB solid state drive @ $999.

    Specs Lenovo vs Surface

    Code:
    Height 0.7" [COLOR="DarkRed"]0.53 "[/COLOR]
    Width 13.1" [COLOR="DarkRed"]10.81[/COLOR]
    Depth 8.9" [COLOR="DarkRed"]6.81[/COLOR]
    Weight 3.3 pounds [COLOR="DarkRed"]2 pounds[/COLOR]
Display Type IPS LED touch screen (1600 x 900) [COLOR="DarkRed"]ClearType Full HD Display 1920x1080 pixels 16:9
    10-point multi-touch[/COLOR]
    Screen Size 13.3" [COLOR="DarkRed"]10.6" [/COLOR]
    Graphics Intel® HD 4000 Graphics [COLOR="DarkRed"]Intel HD Graphics 4000[/COLOR]
    Built-in Webcam Yes [COLOR="DarkRed"]Two 720p HD LifeCams, front- and rear-facing with TruColor[/COLOR]
    Wireless Networking Wireless-B+G+N [COLOR="DarkRed"]Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n)[/COLOR]
    USB 2.0 Ports 1 USB 3.0; 1 USB 2.0 [COLOR="DarkRed"]Full-size USB 3.0[/COLOR]

    The Surface also has:

    Ambient light sensor
    Accelerometer
    Gyroscope
    Compass
Pen input and pen (included with purchase)

So at the same price of the Lenovo, I knew which one I would get :)

I'm sure you can find other comparable, but I don't have the time to look for them, this is just what I could manage in 5 minutes :D

Well, I didn't hit the power ball last night. So this is not for me.

Yea, it can't run any Windows app.

If you want to compare, you need to compare it with the Surface running Windows RT:

    64 GB * 10.6" ClearType HD Display (1366x768 pixels) 16:9 (widescreen) 5-point multi-touch * Two 720p HD LifeCams, front- and rear-facing * Two microphones * Stereo speakers * Wireless: Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n) * Bluetooth 4.0 technology * Full-size USB 2.0 * microSDXC card slot * Headset jack * HD video out port * Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 RT * $699 ... $130 less than your example
