Windows Backup Not Working.

Every Sunday evening I do the weekly backup of my system. This time it will not backup. The error is "The last backup did not complete successfully". I usually put this on a DVD +RW. I have tried to figure it out for about 2 hours. I have used DVD -RW's and DVD -R and DVD -RW. It doesn't matter none of these make a difference. Although I think the problem is happening before it has to back it up to the Media. As far as I know the computer is still clean. No bugs have been reported to me by Avast or Mal-Warebytes.

You'll need to double click on the error for more details, and there is a button to copy the error to your clipboard for easy copying & pasting.

We'll want the details of the Source: Windows Backup errors.

Looks pretty straightforward, you are running low on free space.

There's a chance your system reserved partition is running out of space. Let's check:
  • In the Start Search box, type computer management, press [Enter]
  • Select Storage > Disk Management
  • Verify that you have a System Reserved partition, if yes, right click on this volume and select Properties & note the free space

Okay, since I have 4 hard drives Windows is drive 1 "C". It shows it as a Healthy drive and there is 465.75 GB NTFS. There is also 8MB of unallocated disk space. So, there is No "System Reserved" partition.

Check for any specific errors related to VSS and SPP in your Event Viewer.

With Event Viewer open, click on Create Custom View on the right under Actions. Select Critical, Warning and Error from Event level.

Select By source and check SPP and VSS.

Something isn't working there. I created the Custom View and checked 'critical', 'warning', and 'error'. I also, clicked 'by source' and nothing happens. That is the OK box does not highlight. I can Cancel or Clear but that is all. I even typed vss in the Event Sources box and nothing goes.
