    Hi members

In XPWin, to remove multi-boot options lines we just edit the boot.ini file in the root directory by deleting lines like

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS= "Micro soft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

As we know, Win7 has no boot.ini file. Because of multi installation of win7 one will see 2 or more lines of Window 7 as multi-boot. How can one keep only 1 line?

Of course by setting the startup time to zero, one don't see the multi-lines but I would check up on the equivalent to boot.ini where abouts.

Has the window.old have anything to do with this display, i doubt it.

    Sharing appreciated.

Windows Vista & 7 don't use boot.ini and in my opinion you shouldn't really edit by hand anyway.

Use BCDEDIT to configure Vista/7 systems.

    Thanks W-Fire

From yr pointer, I tried out EasyBCD to avoid the hassle of command-line edit. Cheers! :)
