Resolved whats the best email program for windows 7?

I am new to W7 and need to know what program is best for 7. I used outllook express before. I need general email and emailing pictures, and sell on craigslist a lot. What is best? TIA

 

If you're using Windows 7, I recommend signing up for a Hotmail or Live email account. In that case, you can sync it up with Outlook and Windows Live Picture Gallery. They're also relatively easy to use as well.

I have been using Windows Live Mail. Not much different the OE.

 

If they had Outlook, they would not be asking a question on what to use in Win 7. Outlook DOES NOT come with Win 7. And it ain't FREE.

 

I only mentioned Outlook because she had mentioned that she had used it previously.

 

You would get as many answers as the no. of persons you put the question to. There is no "Best" email program. It all depends on you as to what kind of program you need & are happy with.

I have been using Thunderbird for last 3 years & have been happy with it.

 

I like Thunderbird too.

 

She said OE, which was part of the other OS's except for Vista and 7

 

I am in the same situation. Changing over to Windows 7 from XP. I have been using OE and liked it. I have over 1,000 contacts sorted into 20 folders. Outlook 2010 and Live Mail do not support these files in their address books. Thunderbird does support them, but I can't get them to convert from the OE .wab file format to Thunderbird's .mab format. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated. I have only been trying to get this new computer up and running since 12/26/10

Thanks everyone!! I did put Thunderbird on one computer so far and they seem to like it. It was for someone who needs simple so it was great to be able to customize the tool bar I will use Thunderbird too on my new one, and be able to play a bit deeper then.

IF you have a version of MS Office that includes Oe, you can install and use OE. I have Office 2003 installed and use OE from MS Office. I'm running Windows Ultimate X64 and OE works just fine.

 

OOPS.. Sorry.. I didn't realize that Outlook wasn't the Express... I've only started to use Outlook as my main email client lately, as Yahoo has been not delivering mail as it should and they can't figure out why.
