Resolved How to use Alt\F4 to close folders in Win7?

Just finished setting up a new W7HP laptop. I've used as many of my preferred XP settings as possible, including "Open each folder in its own window ".
So far, so good.
But Win7 doesn't seem to accept the 'Alt\F4' key combo for closing a bunch of opened folders in the same way as XP does.
Anyone able to comment?

 

Thanks Pete. Actually, the link you sent DOES document the Alt\F4 option in a table headed "Windows Explorer ".
Which answers my question about Win7's ability to duplicate the old XP facility.
However, I've rechecked the W7 HomePremium laptop installation that prompted my query and I can definitely say that Alt\F4 doesn't close the current window, (or any subsequent open windows, which would then become 'current' after the top level window had closed)

All that happens is that the 'more options' button on the folder menu bar cycles through some options. Sorry I can't be more explicit because I've passed the laptop over to the owner and can't check the sequence in detail. But I'll make a point of checking this business again when I next install W7 for someone.

 

Sorry PeteC, my bad. I'd meant to say that I was trying to use Alt\F4 to sequentially close a number of open windows, beginning with the uppermost. As Arie pointed out, the Alt\F4 command should work in Win7, just as it does in XP. Obviously there was some glitch in the Win7 install I was working on, as the command definitely wasn't operative.
