    Hi everybody

I understand that there are 2 cmd.exe in win7.64 bit, the 32 bit one in C:\Windows\sysWOW64 while the 64 bit at usual C:\Windows\System32.

I had been using 32bit dos version of pkzip.exe and had no problem running it in the command.prompt of win7.32 bit.

However the default command.prompt of win7.64bit, this 32bit .exe will not run. I was told, if I create a command.prompt using C:\Windows\sysWOW64\cmd.exe, pkzip.exe should run but it DID NOT.

I was also told that the SYSWOW64 service in Windows will automatically map programs to the right version without having to get the right command.prompt. I don't seem to see how to start this Service in the Admin.Services.

Help please, where did i go wrong.

I'm not sure pkzip supports 64-bit. According to this Wikipedia article, SecureZIP 12.3 added 64-bit OS support.

    Thanks Arie

My latest finding is the pkzip.exe i am using was way back in 1995 thus when i run it under win7 64 bit it just don't run; it is ok for win7 32 bit. Later I got a copy of zip written by Info-ZIP dated 2010, this run fine in win7 64 bit.

    That's it
