I bought a new LG DVD/RW SATA drive recently and it worked fine in Vista. I upgraded to Windows 7, but it won't work. Device manager shows the following error:

HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GH22NS30 ATA Device (basically an LG drive)

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

Any idea of the cause or possible solution? I have tried uninstalling and re-detecting devices.

Try to reinstall the drivers by using compatibility mode and selecting "windows Vista ".
